In our opinion flat centre bits are in principal no tools for professional use and are not suitable for hard wood. We recommend to use FAMAG cylinder boring bits, especially the product lines Bormax® 2.0 (alloyed tool steel / TCT). Alloyed tool steel. 800 - 3000 rpm. e.g. Ø 18 mm 1600 rpm in soft wood.
